Postdoc Onco-Condensates
We are looking for a motivated postdoc to join our team! We offer a vibrant, highly international, scientific environment and a position to study transcriptional condensate regulation and control, while developing an independent research line.
We are focused on developing new methods to determine condensate composition, using optical tweezers to study chromatin-condensate interactions and how these influence DNA-architecture, and manipulating condensates to treat disease. This project aims to determine changes in transcriptional-condensate composition in cancer and identify potential targets for intervention. Besides these goals, we stimulate the postdoc to develop an independent research line.
The Center for Molecular Medicine at the University Medical Center Utrecht is an excellent research environment with around 20 research groups and more than 180 scientists, working on diverse topics.
We are looking for a talented scientist, a strong communicator and an independent thinker with excellent molecular biology lab skills and an affinity for biophysics. Our ideal candidate has experience studying biomolecular condensates using high-resolution microscopy, magnetic or optical tweezers, in vitro biochemistry or computational modeling.
